Now the bazaar. It was very interesting and they had anything and everything. Prices were very easy to negotiate. If you see something on the internet having to do with Afghanistan, chances are you can find it there from rugs to Kashmir and silk tablecloths, blankets, and scarves. Here are some picts...
A Kashmir and silk blanket

A Camel wool rug

An Afghan war rug

A Kashmir and silk table cloth
A tribal rug (hand woven, various styles, sizes, and colors)

An antique rug (again various colors, sizes, and styles)

And much much more. Let me know if you would like for me to shop for something for you, it is very easy to negotiate for a good price and the quality on some of the stuff is very good!!

I am glad to see Jen and the boys got out safe. What an exciting time of their lives. I'll bet Jen's missing Hawaii right about now, what is this her second evac in about a month? Keep us updated on their safety. Love Ya,
Heather
Hi! It's always nice to hear from you! Hope all is well with your home and family -- I will keep in touch with them. When you go to the Bazaars do a lot of guys go together? Do you dress in your uniform or just regular clothes? I love all the interesting things you say about Afghanistan and Kabul in particular -- sounds like an interesting place to visit but I don't think that will ever happen. We'll just have to rely on your travel log! Stay safe! Our love and prayers are with you and your family.......TTFN Mom
(my last comment didn't post?)
We made it to Orlando, and then back home to the Keys, safely. We are NOT missing Hawaii! This was our first evac and it is true that I don't enjoy the 8hr. evacuation drive but at least here we can evacuate. Actually, we enjoyed our "evacuation vacation".
Love to all, Jen
